Friday of this week, many colleagues came late because of traffic jam. It could be a result of long rain from Thursday evening, the night before. Our city traffic is so unpredictable, but most of the time is crowded.

First meeting is about budgeting for Q1, finance team were presenting their work after gathering all need and potential revenue from all business unit in January. Not a good number, the airflow was so tense. It is never easy to plan a real business forecasting.

Profit and Lost metrics is in the important measurement list to check company health. All business activities should be drawn in this metrics. And we can do improvement (change people hiring strategy, stretch the target, efficiency focus, etc)  here in the high level perspective . PnL (thats how commonly we call it) should be analyze together with other metrics to get more comprehensive point of view before stakeholder take a decision.

Technology BU present a bad number because I use a minimum number as our mandays rate. But I agree with others opinion, do we really need all development. A challenging yet could be answer by compare our strategy, the vision and all the mission. The plan is to have our brief blueprint in this quarter , lets see in next 2 month. Not a cheap investment though! 

After lunch we are talking about OKR update. I feel lucky since the tech team are smart and actively challenge the ideas, they are good leaders. Almost all point is going on progress. This time one of the HR team join the discussion, I hope we can eliminate all miss communication about Tech BU.

2 hours long OKR Update, need make it faster next time. Although we also shared another task beside OKR, 2 hours still too long. OKR Update is an important event to check progress, to evaluate and do improvement if needed. There was always a good plan but, in my experience, few of them implemented or evaluated right! And the focus still to make the blueprint for the product. 

Data again in the afternoon, good progress yet still can not be implemented smoothly since there was scenarios we missed. I will let them discussed it by themselves.
